Nancy Sunglasses In-Depth Review - Warby Parker - 57-17-140

We are independent freelance bloggers who are passionate about eyewear. Our story started when we needed new glasses, and couldn’t head to the store right away. After finally narrowing down a style we saw someone wear, we couldn’t much find much info on that specific collection besides some generic images and basic measurements. Nowadays, we go out and personally check out styles before including them in our blog. Extensive hands-on research goes into every review in order to give our readers as much information as possible. Thanks to our followers, we have grown to be one of the the largest eyewear blogs in the US with hundreds of in-depth reviews.

The brand designs affordable, super stylish eyewear and has recently released the Nancy Collection. This series is part of the “Pupils Project” by the brand, where they worked with New York’s iconic names to create innovative designs. As part of this collaboration, the brand aims to donate 100% of the proceeds to the Pupils Project. The Nancy Collection has been co-created with Lena Dunham. These sunglasses have oversized lenses that first gained widespread fame during the 1960s when they were commonly known as “Jackie O’s glasses”. Beyonce has worn this unconventional style to various public appearances lately, making it an instant hit with consumers.

Nancy Style

These sunglasses are a modern take with intricate details and a touch of vintage style. With an ‘oversized’ eyewear design, they bring a contemporary edge to any look. Designed with a thick, bold structure, the glasses are authoritative enough to make an impression. With refined lines and angular corners, these glasses will add sharpness to your personality.

Nancy Fit

An elegantly curved saddle bridge emphasizes the focus on your third eye’s center. The sleek bridge rests on the top of your nose while adding a dash of mid-century charm. Integrated acetate nose pads are curved to offer optimal support and grip. Taller lenses ensure an unobstructed view of the world. While oversized frames complement round, heart-shaped, and oval faces, the series comes in a wide fit, making it comfortable for almost all face shapes.

Nancy Design Details

With a colossal framework enveloped within sharp lines, the sunglasses wrap around your eyes for an everyday look. The angled brow detail at the top rim imparts a definition to your eyebrows while adding an unexpected hint of sophistication to your appearance. The smooth bottom, contrary to the top, rests on your cheekbones, contouring your angular features and creating space for movement. The spiked end pieces will add a dash of classic appeal while being playful and fun. The sleek temple arms rest on your ears with a firm grip, highlighting your side profile. Nancy’s thick rims and spacious lenses hit right at home wherever you are.

Nancy Quality

The frames are made using custom cellulose acetate. Cellulose acetate is a plant-based and biodegradable material. Acetate frames are very flexible, durable, hypoallergenic, and environmentally friendly. Acetate also helps preserve the style, colors, and patterns of Nancy over time. Akulon-coated screws and barrel hinges enhance the durability of the frames. Non-prescription lenses use CR-39, which is half the weight of glass, making them easy to carry. These premium polarized lenses made with CR-39 ensure maximum color intensity and clarity. Prescription lenses use Polycarbonate, an impact-resistant material that keeps the glasses from shattering and breaking when subjected to various external factors. The lenses are treated with scratch-resistant coatings that provide clear vision. These high-quality lenses block 100% of UV rays, thus protecting the eyes.
