Haskell Sunglasses In-Depth Review - Warby Parker - 49-22-145

We are independent freelance bloggers who are passionate about eyewear. Our story started when we needed new glasses, and couldn’t head to the store right away. After finally narrowing down a style we saw someone wear, we couldn’t much find much info on that specific collection besides some generic images and basic measurements. Nowadays, we go out and personally check out styles before including them in our blog. Extensive hands-on research goes into every review in order to give our readers as much information as possible. Thanks to our followers, we have grown to be one of the the largest eyewear blogs in the US with hundreds of in-depth reviews.

“What do you get when you combine round lenses, slim temple arms, and a keyhole bridge? A good-looking frame named Haskell.”

Haskell Measurements

Like most eyewear brands, measurements for Warby Parker glasses can be found on the inside of the temple arm. There you’ll find lens width, bridge, and temple length. If you already have a pair that you like, you can compare it to those measurements.

  • Frame width 133 mm: The horizontal diameter of the full frame width, and it’s the primary way we determine fit. (Note: You will not find this number on your glasses.)
  • Lens width 49 mm: The horizontal diameter of one lens.
  • Bridge 22 mm: The width of the bridge section.
  • Temple length 145 mm: The length of the entire temple arm, from the front of the frame to the tip.

Haskell Features

  • Made from hand-polished cellulose acetate
  • Akulon-coated screws for durability
  • Prescription lenses are made from polycarbonate, the most impact-resistant material for sunglasses; non-prescription lenses are made from CR-39 for maximum clarity and color.
  • Includes scratch-resistant lenses that block 100% of UV rays

Haskell Sunglasses Review for Men and Women

Warby Parker is a socially responsible company that gives back to the community through its “Buy a Pair, Give a Pair” program. The brand makes affordable, stylish eyewear and has recently launched the Haskell Collection. These sunglasses feature round lenses that first became popular among celebrities during the roaring 20s because of their futuristic and straightforward design. Rita Ora has been spotted on the streets of New York City numerous times wearing a similar style that helps her achieve a rock-chic girl look.

Haskell Style

A classic round shape with a bold structure describes the look of these sunglasses. The subtle lines and sharp edges of these glasses add a touch of extraordinary flair to your look. This collection resembles the ‘Horn-rimmed’ style of eyewear that sits snugly on your face while accentuating your facial features. With elongated yet minimal lines, its curvaceous elements balance out the definite lines for a modern feel. Let Haskell work in harmony with your wardrobe.

Haskell Fit

These sunglasses are assembled with a keyhole bridge that does more than just provide aesthetics; it offers strength and stability to the frame. The bridge rests slightly below your brows for a hassle-free fit and feel. Acetate nose pads offer optimal grip and comfort. With taller lenses, the frame ensures a comprehensive view. Round glasses perfectly complement angular, diamond, and oval faces. However, the series comes in a medium and wide fit, making it ideal for all face shapes, preferably narrow faces.

Haskell Design Details

A circular silhouette enhanced with subtle details gives these sunglasses a contemporary spin. The slightly curved top rim with a scalloped center makes the eyewear stand out. The smoothly carved bottom has a pleasant touch that ties it all together. The round edges amplified with an updated look will let you wear this style without sacrificing its classic touch. Effortlessly simple and elegant, this design embodies the concept of less-is-more, as every tiny element serves a purpose. The softly pronounced end pieces offer a subtle texture to maintain interest. The slim temple arms extend to the back of your ears, creating a stylish design that works with almost any occasion or outfit. Designed with the right amount of edge, Haskell sunglasses are a good-looking frame.

Haskell Quality

The frames are made using custom cellulose acetate. Cellulose acetate is a plant-based and biodegradable material. Acetate frames are flexible, durable, hypoallergenic, and environmentally friendly. Acetate also helps preserve the style, colors, and patterns of Haskell over time. Akulon-coated screws and barrel hinges enhance the durability of the eyewear. Non-prescription lenses use CR-39, which is half the weight of glass, making them easy to carry. These premium polarized lenses made with CR-39 ensure maximum color intensity and clarity. Prescription lenses use Polycarbonate, an impact-resistant material that keeps the glasses from shattering and breaking when subjected to various external factors. The lenses are treated with scratch-resistant coatings that enhance vision. These high-quality lenses block 100% of UV rays, thus protecting the eyes.

Haskell Price and Availability of Colors

The Haskell Collection is available in five stunning shades that will make you stand out from the crowd. Starting at $95, these unisex styling designer sunglasses are your key to looking great.

Crystal, a naturally occurring stone that develops a beautiful pattern, inspires the shade of the frame. It is a symbol of peace and purity, and with a hint of silver, the shade gains a soothing vibe. The sheer tones of Crystal cover the frame to add some extra style to your look. Dark-tinted lenses complement the frame. This variant also comes in a ‘Low Bridge Fit’ that makes it ideal for people with wider faces and higher cheekbones. Crystal with Electric Blue Flash Lens

The naturally occurring stone, Crystal, produces a beautiful pattern reflected in the frame’s shade. It is a symbol of peace and purity, and with a hint of silver, it has a calming effect. Besides, the lenses are Electric Blue, a color that signifies the electric spark lighting. It gives out vivid hues of royal blue, baby blue, and pastel blue. Transparent yet shimmering tones of Crystal cover the frame to give your skin an elegant glow. Intense tones of the Electric Blue Flash lens contrast the shades, making these sunglasses complement your style. Green tinted lenses add an ethereal sparkle to your style. An uplifting experience awaits you with Haskell in Aloe Crystal!

Whiskey Tortoise

Whiskey’s warm colors come from the barrel in which it is stored. It has hues of rich auburn, deep ginger with undertones of golden honey. Rich tones of Whiskey and speckled patterns of classic tortoiseshells cover the frame. This unique blend adds a bit of interest with a profound effect to your face. Dark-tinted lenses complement the shade. This variant also comes in a ‘Low Bridge Fit,’ making it suitable for people with higher cheekbones and wider faces. Haskell in Whiskey Tortoise exudes a sense of charm to your look.

Warby Parker Timeline

“Making a difference, one pair of eyeglasses at a time” is what defines Warby Parker. It is a socially conscious company which is one of the leading eyewear companies in the United States, founded in 2010. It was born out of a problem that conceptualized into a world-changing idea. The concept of Warby Parker came to four college students when one of them lost their eyeglasses during a backpacking trip. In the quest to replace them, the prices quoted by local optical stores were astronomical. They decided to find an alternative to this problem of sky-shooting prices of a basic necessity. Warby Parker’s “Buy One Pair, Give One Pair” program donates a pair of eyeglasses for every pair sold. This notion not only encourages individuals to have access to reasonably priced eyewear but also builds compassion in the community.
